HITMEN v PLYMOUTH - PREVIEW

Saturday July 28, 2018
BUXTON return to Hi-Edge as they host the Plymouth Devils in the Travel Plus National League on Sunday afternoon, 3pm.

The Hitmen lost out 57-32 at the St. Boniface Arena on Friday evening against the in-form Devils and team manager Joshua Moss believes his side can cause the Devils a few problems saying “Over the past few days we’ve really come together as a team and despite losing we have a great team spirit. Ben (Wilson), Tom (Woolley) and Connor Coles are riding really well and around our home track I’m sure Corban (Pavitt) Lewis Whitmore and Sam Woolley will settle back on our home circuit. There were a few occasions when I felt a couple of things went against the lads and hopefully those decisions will start to go in our favour, I guess it’s swings and roundabouts you might say.”

Plymouth are led by Ellis Perks and he will again receive solid support from Devils skipper Henry Atkins and guest Alfie Bowtell who replaces the injured Ben Hopwood. Richard Andrews is capable on his day of scoring well with the Devon side using rider replacement for Bradley Andrews who remains on the side-lines. Plymouth will await news on Macauley Leek who pulled out of the clash in Plymouth while Ryan Terry-Daley takes the final slot and has been scoring well since he dropped to reserve for the month of July.
