Buxton’s early seasons run of fixtures doesn’t get any easier as they visit Play-off favourites the Belle Vue Colts at the National Stadium in Manchester.

However, the Hitmen are not the early season pushovers that many think.

Team Boss Jason Pipe certainly goes into the meeting with the hope of getting something from it.

‘We go in to this meeting full of confidence and our heads certainly up again after our win at Home on Sunday. All the lads are looking forward to racing in this meeting, as they all know the track produces some good racing. Belle Vue are already showing they are the team to beat this season and in their previous home meetings so far, they have proven what a strong 1-7 they really have. With the team that we currently have, I do believe that we will give them their toughest test yet on their home circuit this season and all our boys are really up for this. I'm sure Matt Williamson and Tom Woolley, who were Colts riders last season, will be able to give the rest of the lads some advice with set ups and how to ride the track. Their knowledge alone should bring in one or two extra points. We won't be frightened of going to the national speedway stadium and we will be relaxed and will enjoy the meeting.

Belle Vue Dan Bewley, Kyle Bickley, Rob Shuttleworth R/R, Jack Smith, Lee Payne, Andy Mellish, Luke Woodhull, Ben Woodhull (no 8).

Buxton Max Clegg, Ben Basford, Shelby Rutherford, Tom Woolley, Matt Williamson, Lee Geary, Carl Basford.
