The Hitmen’s fourth rider to put pen to paper for 2017 is second season returnee Lee Geary.

Geary who spent his debut year for Buxton returns with a new focus and purpose. The constant need in 2016 to take additional rides to cover rider replacement through injury and retirements saw Geary often taking 6 rides a meeting which was a pressured way to begin his League career.

‘In 2016 I had a lot of pressure on me in what was my first full NL season and it affected my performances for a while. That said, I persevered, adjusted and towards the end of the season started to achieve the results I always knew I am capable of. I will be carrying that attitude and focus into the new season and I'm confident I will do a solid job for the club.’

Leicester-based Geary was delighted to get despite having other options ‘I'm really happy to be invited back to Buxton by Jayne . I had several offers from clubs in the weeks leading up to the festive period, however Buxton gave me a team place last year and I'm glad to be able to repay them and the fans by returning in 2017.’

‘We are really pleased to have Lee back with us for another season’ said Jayne Moss. ‘It took about 5 minutes for him to agree to come back to Hi-Edge and I'm sure there will be a warm welcome for him from the supporters. He has a year under his belt now at National League level and has been to most of the tracks. Hopefully he can pick up from where he left off at the end of last season when he was starting to score some points. He has the equipment and the experience and had started to gain some confidence last year which he needs to build on.’

Geary concluded by making a plea to potential sponsors for the new campaign

‘I am currently trying to assemble sponsors for the new season to help with my equipment, if anyone is able to assist it would be greatly appreciated, I can be contacted at’
